Starting with 1000 SF store in Newark NJ in the late 1970s the Hoffman family have been hands-on operators of a chain of retail stores that today spans over 100 locations across 15 states with over 1000 employees under the MadRag and Vanilla Sky banners. Their business entities are profitable, privately owned, and completely self-financed. With built in-ground intel, their real estate investment and development arm Seagate Asset Management is an active investor in many of the markets they serve and owns a portfolio of dozens of mixed-use, open air centers, and hotel properties across NY, NJ, Philadelphia, and Boston. Their corporate headquarters are in North Bergen NJ where the family maintains an office with approximately 60 employees who manage all facets of the various businesses as well as a variety of philanthropic interests.
All principal members of the family are actively involved in the day-to-day management of the retail business and in real estate procurement and development. The Hoffman family are veteran retailers and property investors with a sterling reputation in the industry built on 50 years of hard work, integrity, and trust.

WE LOOK FOR SITES IN superior retail corridors and with close proximity to mass transit and public transportation located in developing and transforming neighborhoods that have long-term value appreciation. Greater consideration will be given to properties delivered fully vacant or with in-place cash flow on upper stories with retail vacancy or the ability to recapture within 24 months.
